1. Tea – The Morning Tonic

An ultimate Energy Drink of Indians – Tea

“Where there’s a tea, there’s hope.” The quote itself says that to start a perfect day in this city of Palaces, one has to take a kick-start with a refreshing cup of tea. For the same, we would prefer you to have the real flavor of this morning tonic at Sahu Tea Stall, one of the oldest tea seller in the city. Situated under the Peepal tree, this place is always crowded with young and old, couples and friends groups. Some people visit here to meet their friends every morning, while some just come here to sip a hot cup of addictive tea every day. Included in our tour to the old city, the place is loved by our guests too.

Here the tea is made in a peculiar way on the slow flames of burning coal and served in Kulhad – the mud pots. Its unique taste with just the right blend of sweetness and hints of cardamom flavor attracts people from all walks of life. Accompanied by Kachori, fann, and mathri – (both are the salty accompaniments for tea in Jaipur), the tea of this stall is a craze among the Jaipurite.

Open from 5 am to 10 pm at night, this could be your first stop for an early morning trip to the city.
