1. Chandlai Lake

140 years old Inland water body – Chandlai Lake

It is an Inland water body which is said to be 140 years old. Just 2kms before the Chandlai Toll Plaza there is this serene water body that is not even popular among the locals. The beautiful place is regarded as the best for sightseeing in Jaipur. If you love the romantic serenity, tranquility, privacy amidst a gentle breeze, this is the place to be. 2. Sambhar Lake

India’s Largest Saline Lake – Sambhar Lake

Located 65 km away from the city, Sambhar is the largest saltwater lake in India. It is one of the beautiful and unexplored tourist places in the region. Shaped like an ellipse, the lake has a town of Sambhar on one side and surrounded by scenic Aravalli Hills from all sides that protects it like a prodigious guard. The famous temple of Shakamhari Devi is also at the shores of this lake only. The lake is a major producer of salt in India and accounts for 9% of the salt production of the nation. Being the largest Saline lake in India, it is also a home to flamingos and other beautiful species from North Asia flocking together at this place. Nilgai can be observed venturing out freely in the adjoining forest area. Lake is now recognized as a Ramsar Site, which means it is a recognized wetland, deemed of national significance. 3. Kanota Dam

4. Chulgiri Jain Temple

This temple is a Digambara shrine and it is a popular sanctum place in Jainism. Surrounded by Aravali ranges, the temple is mostly visited by religious tourism from around the world. There is a small story attached to this temple. It is believed that once  Jain Hierophant Shri Desh Bhushan’s marriage had come to this place and he found it very scrumptious and peaceful as a mortification point of view, so he choose this place for his mortification and later on he decided to build a Jain shrine over here. It is he who has decided this name for the temple. The temple has statues of three most important Tirthankars – Shree Parshavnath, Mahaveer Swami and Neminath. Every year a big festival in the month of May is organized here. The next important thing about the temple is the Jain Yantra embossed on a copper plate that has a weight of 40kgs and is placed on the rooftop of this temple. Very recently a reservoir with a storage of 1.8 million liters of rainwater was also made here so that the same can be used for worship and consecration of God. To enjoy the scenic beauty of the place, people from over for picnics during the weekends.

5. Veer Hanuman Temple

The God of Strength – Lord Hanuman

As the name suggests, the temple is basically a sanctorum of Strength with Lord Hanuman as the presiding deity. The place has been a spot of peace and prosperity to all those people who visit this religious place since the erstwhile period. Worshipped as the God of Strength, it is the monkey god, the existence of which can be found in the Hindu epic of Ramayana. The idol of Lord Hanuman is equipped with the famous “Gada” in on hand and the mountain on the other – the two things that are usually associated with Lord Hanuman.
